“The most terrifying words in the English langauge are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.”

"Man is not free unless government is limited"
"Government's first duty is to protect the people, not run their lives."
“Government exists to protect us from each other. Where government has gone beyond its limits is in deciding to protect us from ourselves.”
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction”

"Government always finds a need for whatever money it gets."
"Government does not solve problems; it subsidizes them."
“The problem is not that people are taxed too little, the problem is that government spends too much.”
“We don't have a trillion-dollar debt because we haven't taxed enough; we have a trillion-dollar debt because we spend too much”

- Ronald Reagan

I was in college in a small town when Reagan came through. Typically, every pickup had a rifle in the back window. You could do that there and then. Allegedly, the Secret Service told the President it would be difficult to protect him. His response was- "where else could I be more secure?"

Remember, Reagan didn't get shot because he was hated. He got shot because a man was obsessed with a girl.
